There are many, many opportunities each year to promote your insurance agency, build your brand message and increase brand awareness. What are some of those opportunities?

  • A major milestone has been reached such as number of years in business.
  • You hire a new employee or producer
  • A major event occurs like add or purchasing a new office.
  • An event occurs that may not be major, but is sufficiently significant to support your brand.

Examples of minor but significant events to support your brand:

  • You bring a new carrier on board (choice)
  • An employee earns an industry designation (professionalism)
  • You add a new online service like chat or rating (convenience)
  • You participate or contribute to a local charity or event
  • You add client #5,000 or whatever number seems appropriate
  • You have a new program to offer, made available by one of your carriers

You get the idea. Opportunities to brand and promote our agencies often lost because we don’t take advantage of the many ways to share that positive thing that just happened. Many of the channels and vehicles we could use for promotion are free, easy and already available to us. The trick is keeping all the possibilities in front of us. Not every communication option will be appropriate to each promotion. But once armed with a checklist not sharing your good news will be a conscious decision rather than an opportunity missed.
